In the world of a truck driver, there’s not a whole lot of time to waste trying to figure out if the attractive woman or charming man you start a conversation with in person is single, interested, or shares common interests with you before you’ve got to move on to your next stop. Online dating works much more effectively to almost “shop” for the people that might just become your next someone special.
Online dating can take you out of your comfort zone (in a good way, of course), you’ll learn a TRUCKLOAD about yourself and others, and you’ll find that practice truly does make perfect when it comes to dating.

But when it comes to a professional truck driver and the lifestyle they live, is that going to help them find someone that will sympathize with those circumstances? Is Online Dating right for You?
Although there are a lot of great perks for using online dating sites, social media, and apps to meet new people; it may not work for everyone. There’s still a lot to consider before taking the plunge into online courtship. Like, for one, flexibility is key. Are you realistic in what you’re looking for in a partner? Or, are you single because you have a crazy (and unobtainable) checklist? It’s important to consider everything that you’re seeking in someone before you even create a profile.
Another question is, are you internet-savvy? You don’t have to be a computer genius by any means, but a novice web user probably should avoid online dating. There’s a lot of dangers out there if you’re not careful about how you do it. Unfortunately, there are sick people in the world that will make fake accounts and the threat of being scammed or “catfished” is very real. You don’t want to give out personal information until you know a person is legitimate.
Lastly, you should only use online dating if you, yourself, are being truthful. Take a look into the mirror and evaluate what you genuinely can bring to the table in a relationship. I love the road! I’ve been driving for 6 years and the road is my home. I would rather be on the road all the time than anywhere else. I’m 54 and own a place in Florida. Getting ready to go drive for a company that runs teams and I prefer refer trailers. The sound puts me to sleep when I drove solo. I love the challenge of driving through storms, but smart enough to pull over when it gets bad. I love trucking!. Had a beautiful Coronado that I lost last year. Plan on having another one again someday. I’m a freightliner girl.

Hi y’all I am a athletic hard working devoted old school very fine product of a long line of otr truck drivers. I’ve wrote this once an it erased it so hear I go again I have been in an around bigriggs all my life. I have come to conclusion a man that stays/works a “normal” 8-10 job is not for me. I am a very different breed of female. I was raised firm in the old fashion ways of relationships n women’s places. I have hung on to alot of it. I have only been in LOVE once in my life. As a person who cooridnates weddings… I would esitmate the number of people meeting (and later marrying) via online dating sites, quite high. In fact, I’d guestimate that roughly 75-80% or more of my couples met via online dating, with the other 20-25% meeting via the “traditional” routes of friends, church, school or work.
