What is Being Awarded?
The goal of the new scholarships is to help financially support future truck drivers as they train for their new careers. In recent years, the demand for truck drivers has increased tremendously making it harder and harder to find good, quality truck drivers to hire.
Two Scholarships a Year
Each year there are more and more experienced drivers retiring and fewer new truck drivers taking up the torch. So, our hope is to use these two yearly scholarships as an opportunity to encourage more people to become truck drivers and a way to give back to the trucking community that has (and continues) to give us, and America, so much.
When Is The Scholarship Awarded?
Our new trucking scholarship program allows future truckers to apply to our trucking scholarships all year round. The recipients will be notified prior to the public announcement. All funds will be mailed directly to the recipients’ schools of choice.
Spring and Fall Semester Scholarship Awards
Two winners will be selected each year. One winner in the fall and one winner in the spring. Our selection committee will pick the winners and announce them in December and July each year.
Where Do I Apply?
New truckers that are interested in applying can apply directly on our website. As we mentioned above, new truck drivers can apply all year round, so you don’t need to worry about submission deadlines. If you miss the deadline for spring, you’ll be able to apply for the fall and vice versa.
How Do I Apply?
Applying is simple. We have an entire page dedicated to submission details on our website, but let me break it down for you in three simple steps.
Scholarship Requirements
1. Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements, and be in good standing if already at a school.
2. Applicants must write a 500-word essay that explains their interest in the industry and how this scholarship will benefit them.
3. Applicants must submit their contact information, along with their essay, proof of enrollment in a CDL training school, and a headshot.
