We are a dedicated contractor for the USPS to haul mail between processing facilities locally, regionally, and nationally. All of our trips have set destinations with scheduled arrival and departure times from the stops. The trips have set days of the week they run with set off-days. All jobs are scheduled with DOT compliance in mind for HOS on-duty, driving and off-duty time.
All drivers are paid by the hour for hours worked. We structure the trips into job packages and full-time bid drivers can bid on the packages based on seniority and extra board drivers fill-in for call-offs, vacations, vacated bids, and such.
These jobs are unlike OTR in that the schedules are set so the drivers know exactly where they are going, what time they have to be there, and what is required of them each trip.
