DSV Road Transport is based in Portland, Oregon. The company was originally founded in 1969 by a local business capitalist and started with only six trucks. Currently, the company employs 371 employees, operates 330 company trucks, and has over 700 trailers. As one of the West Coast’s leading multi-modal transportation providers, DSV RoadTransport offers four modes of asset-based products to move customer freight. Having four different product lines give us a strategic advantage over our competition.

• Our Over-the-Road (OTR) division manages both company drivers and owner operators, focusing on freight lanes up and down the I-5 Highway and throughout the West Coast. The OTR fleet operates 148 company trucks, 11 owner-operators, and 6 teams. The company specializes in hauling dry freight with the largest share of our business built around serving the retail and paper industries.

• Our Dedicated Fleet division operates 5 fleets for multiple customers based in the Northwest. In 2016, our dedicated fleets operated 45 company and 44 owner operator trucks, and ran 4,495,019 miles.

• Our Trailer-on-Flatcar (TOFC) division offers high-cube and standard 53’ trailers. TOFC provides customers with a cost-effective alternative for moving their freight compared to OTR. The trains run north and south Monday through Saturday with service between the Portland and LosAngeles yards.

• Our Intermodal division offers transcontinental access to over 80,000 53’ containers and holds contracts with all US class one railroads. Our nationwide drayage network has partners positioned and ready to pick up and deliver freight at all North American ramps.
