1969 -- Established Regal Foods
1987 -- Merger of Regal Foods and Orleans International to form Sherwood Food Distributors
1991 -- Acquired specific assets and human resources of Osten Meats, including the Cincinnati Division
1992 -- Acquired Probst Meats
1994 -- Acquired A & W Foods (Cleveland)
2000 -- Acquired P & B Distributors (Chicago)
2004 -- Acquired Orleans International (separated)
2010 -- Acquired Don Greene Poultry (Miami)
2017 -- Merged with Harvest Food Distributors (San Diego)
Sherwood Food Distributors was formed in October 1987. This new company was the result of combining the meat distribution operation of Regal Foods and Orleans International. The combined companies offered a total of 100 years of experience in the food distribution business.
Since its formation, Sherwood Food Distributors has grown to become one of the largest independent meat distributors in the United States.
