Reefer truck driving jobs in Washington are a great way to put a career in overdrive. There were about 5.5 million reefer trucks in 2012 and there’s even more today due to increased need to transport perishable food items to growing populations. Jobs driving reefer trucks or “refrigerator trucks” are a great way to out-earn operators of many other types of commercial vehicles. Reefer truck driving does require added responsibility, however. Often times driving distances are longer and there’s frequent deadlines to meet. But, there always will be job stability because as the national population continues to grow, the demand for food transport increases accordingly. Reefer vehicles are cooled by means of ice chilling, dry-ice (carbon dioxide as the cooling agent), or with the help of a refrigerated system.
