Reefer truck driving jobs in Oregon are always in demand. Reefer trucks, or “refrigerator trucks”, carry perishable items like food all over the country. Drivers of reefer vehicles take on certain obstacles that other commercial operators may not such as more stressful deadlines or longer average distance to destinations. Therefore, driver of reefer trucks can usually expect to earn a competitive wage. Ice, refrigeration systems, or dry-ice are used to make sure that the cargo is fresh when it reaches stores. 5.5 million plus trucks were on the road in 2012 and the number continues to grow. As more and more people populate our country, the demand for supply of food increases along with the available number of jobs driving reefer trucks.
