Jobs driving reefer trucks in Nevada; require drivers to transport food items that are perishable. Reefer trucks use a cooling system of either ice chilling, dry-ice (carbon dioxide), or are run by a refrigerator system. There were approximately 5.5 million of these types of vehicles back in 2012. However, as the population increases the demand for these careers grow as well. These types of trucks generally require further distances to travel than other types of commercial vehicles. There are challenges that come with the territory in reefer driving occupations, but generally speaking they take home more income that those in positions in other commercial driving types.
Because drivers in Marten Transport’s over-the-road division may operate in all 48 states, it’s excellent for drivers who want to run everywhere!
