We\u2019re right on the eve of the biggest trucking expo of the year, so it\u2019s no surprise many attendees are looking for what they can expect at this year\u2019s event and many who are staying home want to know what they\u2019ll be missing. Luckily, we have a few highlights to look out for at this year\u2019s Great American Trucking Show (GATS)<\/a>. The three-day event will offer half a million feet of exhibit space and they expect over 50,000 attendees to make their way to Dallas, TX to enjoy a weekend filled with all things trucking. While last year was a huge success, GATS 2017 is looking to step up their game and make this year\u2019s expo truly one to remember. If you\u2019re heading down for the weekend, or just want to know what you\u2019re missing out on, we\u2019ve provided a few highlights of what you can expect when you\u2019re down there.<\/p>\n

4 Things to Look Forward to at GATS 2017<\/h2>\n

The Recruiter Pavilion<\/h3>\n

Are you in between trucking jobs, or looking to start up a brand new career on the road? Well luckily, GATS 2017 will host literally dozens of different recruiters that will be sure to find you the perfect job. Dry van, reefer, owner-operator, you name it! Hell, you can even stop over at the AllTruckJobs<\/a> booth so we can help you find the ideal trucking job. You\u2019ll be able to speak to representatives, fill out applications, and even interview on the spot. It\u2019s a great way to network as well as find the ideal career for you!<\/p>\n

The Health and Wellness Pavilion<\/h3>\n

We all know it can be tough maintaining your peak physical condition while on the road, but luckily at the health and wellness pavilion, you\u2019ll be able to get a variety of tips, tricks, and tools to help with your physical and mental health. The Landstar Health and Wellness Pavilion will provide free health screenings, cooking, fitness and educational demos. Sadly, despite the growing demand, trucking fitness guru Troy Thunder<\/a> will not be making an appearance at the pavilion (there\u2019s always next year) but you\u2019ll still be able to get necessary checkups, as well as browse some great health and wellness products that you might want on the road with you. There will also be a variety of educational seminars that will help truckers maintain a healthy lifestyle while on the road.<\/p>\n

Discovery Pavilion<\/h3>\n

Looking for the latest and greatest piece of tech in the trucking industry? Luckily, the discovery pavilion will host a variety of different booths that will offer new apps, trucking equipment, financial help, and a variety of other things that you\u2019ll certainly want to look out for while you\u2019re at GATS 2017, or even to check out online at a later time. With the technological landscape continuing to change in the trucking industry, it\u2019s a great way to stay up-to-date with all the new gadgets and equipment, plus you get to play around with cool stuff! Not to mention, there will be tons of giveaways, so make sure to keep your hands empty so you can snag all that free stuff!<\/p>\n

Celebrities<\/h3>\n

Some GATS attendees will prefer to scope out some of the celebrities that will make an appearance at GATS 2017. Radio personalities like Bill Weaver and Marcia Campbell will be conducting live shows during the day, and celebrity truckers like Allie Knight will make an appearance to answer any trucking questions you may have.
